Lightning Protection Systems – How Do They Work?
When we install a lightning protection system, we create a pathway for the earth’s charge to travel to the top of the building.
As this electrical force reaches the top of the lightning rod system, it travels along the conductor system and up each of the air terminals.
These upward surges or charges are then dissipated into the surrounding air and then neutralized by the cloud charge at a safe distance above the building.
